This is apparently real… And sold out
And now… Here’s Brody Brazil
Curious how you say Titties in different latin american dialects.
Edit:
Teats are nipples.
So the team is the udder and each player is a teat.“In the case of udders, pairs of mammary glands comprise a single mass, with more than one nipple (or teat) hanging from it.
For instance, cows and buffalo udders have two pairs of mammary glands and four teats, whereas sheep and goat udders have one pair of mammary glands with two teats protruding from the udder.
Each gland produces milk for a single teat. These mammary glands are evolutionarily derived from sweat glands.”TITHÓS (tities in ancient greek)
TITTHEIN (breastfreeding in ancient greek)A lot of Latin was influenced from Greek. And all romance languages are descendents of Latin.
In Portuguese “tetas”, is more used to animals, although people use it all the same, alongside:
“Mamas”, we are mammals for something;“Peitos”, wich i associate with breasts due to food (“chicken breasts” = “peitos de frango”).
“Seios”, it has to do with the glands and “being in the middle of something”= “no seio de algo”.
Feel free to correct/add.
I am a fan of the Cleveland Indians/Guardians. When we rebranded, I was fine with the rebrand, because I THOUGHT we would replace chief wahoo with THIS GUY
It made sense. For anyone unaware, what you’re looking at is a statue. One of eight different statues that were hand chistled in the 1930s. They remain a focal point of the Hope Memorial bridge. In 1994 the Cleveland Indians moved out of a dual use stadium built for the Olympics in the 1930s. We never got the Olympics. Nazi Germany got the Olympics. Where, fun fact, Hitler actually shook Jessie Owens hand, while NOBODY representing the USA would shake a black champions hand. Just an unrelated tidbit.
So we get this stadium in the 1930s, Cleveland Manicupal stadium. The Browns are not a thing until 1946. So for some reason, they moved The Indians from League Park (a smaller but specifically baseball built stadium) to Cleveland Municipal stadium (Seats around 100,000 and felt like a big cave, with no seat good for baseball. Then in 1994 they move to Jacobs Field (now known as Progressive Field).
And as you stand on the Carniegie facing “main entrance” (even though nobody uses that side), you could turn around, and see this old piece of Cleveland history with these statues along the sides of the bridge.
The Guardians of Transportation.
Well, then MLB decided that OUR team (and not the Braves, nor the Yankees) was offensive, and we needed to change.
Well Chief Wahoo was a very distinctive good baseball logo. I’ve ALWAYS hated baseball hats and logos that are just letters. With the exception of LA and NY (yankees), because the cities are iconic, and need no introduction.
So when I heard we were going to change our name, I thought "There’s only 2 names I’ll accept. Cleveland Buzzards (assuming they buy WMMS and all WMMS IPs, and use The Buzzard as our new logo) OR, The Guardians (assuming they use the Guardians of Transportation as their new logo. Even if they have to cartoon it up).
Personally, I was hoping for The Buzzards, but that was a real longshot. When I heard we were going to be The Guardians, I thought "Ok. At least we’ll use imagery from our cities history.
Then we got a new C logo, which is…meh. And we got a new logo of a baseball between 2 G’s.
I was FURIOUS (and still am) that our new hats/jersys logos SUCK.
And now I see THIS mess. Shit. MLB, what’s going on? You ok? You doing drugs over there? What the hell is going on with these logos, and hat designs???
And while we’re at it, FUCK these new corporate logos on the sleeve!!! Our team has Marathon Gas. Fuck that shit.
And while I’m ranting, I understood why the auto runner on 2nd made sense in 2020, with a pandemic going on…I think we can put that to bed now. And also, lets get rid of the pitch clock!
I’m undecided on how I feel about the robo-ump they’re testing in spring training. It feels unfinished, but I’m not totally against the core concept of a challenge system like they have. I WOULD be firmly against a 100% of the time robo-ump system.
But, back to the original topic. If I were a Texas fan, this shit would have me screaming if the players wore this. It shouldn’t even be sold in stores. I’m just a sucker for baseball designs, and uniforms. I love the game, but I also love the way things look.
The White Sox “modern design” is like looking at the visual representation of needing to fart and pee at the same time. I hate it. Yeah, your options for logos are limited when you’re called “the white sox”, but why the fuck does Chicago need 2 teams anyways?
Matter of fact, lets give Chicago 0 teams! I kid I kid. I’ll just always hate the cubs. I’m not over 2016. (Or 1997 for that matter).
This has been angry old man yells at clouds. Tune in next time when I discuss mascots. What the hell is Slider supposed to BE anyways??? Some kind of bug? A muppet? An alien?
I wonder how many got sold. Probably a collectors item now!
Whomp 😞
ANEALS still on the store tho
