How are people managing anxiety about the political situation in the US? I’m freaking out nonstop and feel like I’m about to be taken to the gas chambers.
First thing my psychiatrist told me is stop watching so much news about things you cannot control. but yeah it’s hard. and sad.
Do we have no control? I feel like we are just letting things happen to us even though there’s more of us than we want to think. Just that we are not coordinated, there’s no leadership, and we just want peace.

If I stay informed then I start to spiral. I have to disconnect. It’s hard but it helps. My habits are to spend time on my phone to get away from my thoughts. But being on my phone gives opportunity to have spiraling thoughts. It’s very confusing.
