I’m looking for a new cordless power drill. Are there any brands you’d recommend?

Makita is good bang for your buck and Japanese owned. You can even get some cool made in Japan drills online that work with our batteries.

KMS tools is a great local store to buy tools from any brand, often have good sales.

I’m also open to buying tools made in other non-US countries, but would prefer to support my local economy first.

      Totes.

I’d probably look into German tools. They’re some of the best, I hear.

I know you said power tools, semi related there are Canadian hand tools, Gray Tools, recall them being solid. You have Veritas tools as well for woodworking.

I once duct taped a drill bit to a piece of wood that was kinda shaped like one of those old-timer hand cranked drills… Cordless, check! Made in Canada, check! I don’t still have it though, and I don’t know how much I’d charge. The bit probably came from Canadian Tire?
