The Trump administration finally named an official administrator of Elon Musk’s “Department of Government Efficiency” – and it turns out she’s in Mexico.
If I was the one being set up to be legally responsible for this clusterfuck, I’d want to be out of the country too.
Did they even give her a heads up that she was getting the job?
No. She said she found out when the journalists called her. Doesn’t she also need to be confirmed?

In fairness, who wouldn’t want to be in Mexico right now? Claudia Sheinbaum simply cannot stop winning.
So this whole department is very ridiculous and shouldn’t exist, but sometimes you have vacation plans before you get a new job and the new job honours them which is fine.
