    Spending your retirement in the US is a huge fuck-you to Canada to begin with. You extracted a retirement’s worth of wealth from Canada and then you hand half of it to another country.

    I think that’s a win for everyone… Canada is such a gorgeous country and there’s so much to see and do here without having to venture across any borders.

      Same here. Mine still complain about the dollar and the costs, and carry on trying to convince others to join them

    Went to Cuba last week. Absolutely magical, 3-5x the value, and the country needs the support. 95%+ Canadians, and no Americans.

    I understand the “Quebec community” support/appeal, but its supporting the US too. A firm no for me.

    I was planning three trips to the states. San Francisco, New Jersey and LA to see friends at various points in the year.

    I’ve cancelled them all. I told my friends that I would meet them on neutral or friendly ground but not a single bit of my money will be spent going there.
