Then there’s the persecution of the actual left - the people who fought for environmental, animal, civil rights and against capitalism getting life sentences on terrorism charges. So much of the rise of the authoritarian state has been a bipartisan power grab and infringement on the civil rights of citizens. And all protesting does is get one wrapped up in the system and put on a list. The people in power aren’t afraid of the masses. And now they’re fucking around so badly, they should be.
