2024 was a another great year for horror!
Currently watching the substance and it will probably be my favorite.
I’m not normally a huge body horror guy but it was a great watch.
Only two I’ve seen so far were Heretic and Late Night with the Devil. Neither were scary but both were improved by strong performances from the leads.
Longlegs was it for me. Substance as a runner up.
Watched that one last night. I liked it a lot until the climax. Felt a bit anticlimactic. There was suddenly a lot of exposition, and it felt like the climax was a bit abrupt and rushed.
Yep, only complaint on an otherwise awesome movie.
I really wanted to like that movie more. Wasn’t bad at all but the hype killed it for me. I am looking forward to the monkey though.
I do understand why it didn’t click with people. The tension build up is what got me. The ending wasn’t perfect, but it’s been awhile since I’ve had a physical reaction to a movie.
