She’s a real one
She’s not wrong but it sounds a bit hollow coming from someone worth millions.
I mean the bit about people being addicted to greed. Not the mass murdering bit.
I’m honestly fine with millionaires, especially those who actually produce something of value to society— and within the purview of a truly progressive tax system.
Millionaires != Billionaires. That is, there are three orders of magnitude difference between a million and a billion.
- 1 Million seconds is 11 days.
- 1 Billion seconds is nearly 32 years.
Finally, I’ll take someone speaking the truth from their position of power than spreading lies and hate.
Edit:
As a bonus to drive the point home: compare when you double each of those values: 22 days vs. 64 years, and so on…
Moreover:
- 1 Trillion seconds is 31,709 YEARS.
- The known wealth of the 750ish billionaires in America (not counting corporate coffers and near-billionaires) is around 7 Trillion dollars.
Imagine what we could do as a nation with that sort of money just sitting at the top, going either unspent or toward wasteful garbage or political bribery.

How is being paid well for your profession a demonstration of greed? Is she known for only accepting high-paying roles? Does she exploit the labor of others in a side business?
I’m all for wealth equality, but how is becoming an actor any more greedy than becoming a surgeon? Success certainly takes more luck, but I don’t see the greed.
Hollywood is built on the exploitation of labor. Ppl like Harvey Weinstein wouldn’t exist if Hollywood didn’t exploit those who wanted immediate fame and fortune
Sure, but is there reason to believe Tilda has done anything to contribute to the corruption? Are American doctors unethical because the US medical system is corrupt?
Actors would be at the labouring end of things though, rather than the exploiting end. And if you’re an actor who lands big roles you’re going to get paid well for your work. Maybe you’d be paid too well and pay should be more evenly distributed between you and less well known actors, but that’s really a different question from the one about exploitation.
