I mean, bold of you to assume people wouldn’t wear people.
There’s people I would be proud to wear. There’s others I would skin and tan their hide specifically as a trophy to bring out as a warning, be it in jacket form or otherwise.
Oooh! And can you imagine inheriting someone’s well preserved skin, with their tattoos intact? One of the reasons I haven’t gotten more is that they’ll just be burnt up with me. I’d work on getting more if I knew someone else could enjoy them decades later.
No bullshit, not trolling, if it was legal, I’d be absurdly happy at the idea of someone taking my skin and staying warm with it. If that someone was family, even better. Shit, we can donate organs, we can donate our bodies to science, why the hell can’t we leave our preservable parts to our heirs? Take my skin, that it may shelter thee; take my bone that it may support thee; weave of my hair and beard a merkin for thy gentle parts. Okay, a merkin is a stretch of the vibe, I know, but why not a wig for the head? I’ve donated a pony tail to locks of love before, and it ain’t gonna do me any good all burnt to ash (or whatever, though I have cremation prepaid).
If my dad seriously said to me, and it was legal, to take his skin and use it for something helpful, I’d do it, or have it done. My tanning skills are way out of practice. And they weren’t great to begin with.
Damn, now I really want someone to at least make use of my hair and beard in some way. Maybe I’ll die in a way that gives me enough warning to do that, if it’s still in good enough shape. That would be so damn cool :)
