Voter apathy, it is not like voting is hard or takes long here, I’ve been voting since the 90s. Usually lots of early voting times/days. It generally takes me twice as long to walk to my polling place than it does to vote (I don’t think I have ever spent more than 10 mins waiting to vote).

Not registered to vote? Bring your ID and a bill with your name or another registered person to vouch for you and BAM fill out the form, grab a ballot and vote. The only vote that is not private is a “Ballot Refusal”, when you want to vote but not for any of the candidates (this is only in a few provinces and not available federally, afaik), please do not spoil your ballot as that just looks like an “Error” instead of a protest.
