My strategy is that every time I wonder whether I’ve had enough to drink or not, I try to get myself to drink some water.

Does it work? Not always, but I try :3

If alcoholism wasn’t bad, that’s probably the vice I would’ve turned to.

Buuuut stimulant medication hates alcohol, so it’s a rare treat for me.

Holy shit do my meds ever kill my food and water drive. The food part is nice. I eat like a regular human now, and I’m losing weight without really trying to (it’s okay, I’m obese). If I’m not hungry, I don’t really want to eat. God, it’s liberating.

But yeah, I seem to have a harder time remembering to hydrate. So thanks for reminding me lol

Having water with me/beside me seems to help me a lot. Theres no oh I’m thirsty i better stop and buy water or go get water, i always try to have some so as soon as a little bit of thirst hits i can drink it right away. Otherwise i find myself saying oh I’ll go get water in 5 minutes, and 3 hours later still not got any water.

just drink water until you sit there swigging it around and really really don’t feel like swallowing it, that’s your body telling you you’ve had enough.

I have chronic gout. If I don’t drink enough water, I’ll be in some serious pain in a few days. Is that enough to remind me? No!

    Thanks for the reminder!

This is actually why I’m working on a habit of tanking a glass of water first thing in the morning. Like right out of bed.

    Did I drink food today??

Same though, especially now that I have a job again I gotta actively keep track of how much water I take in. If I’m home it’s usually alright.

I’m worse about eating and drinking water at home, by far, than at work.

At work I have a schedule. About halfway through my shift, give or take. I work alone, over night, and don’t have any scheduled or required breaks; however, the wireless headset reaches almost everything so I just get up and nuke whatever I brought in.

As for water? I’ll slug some water down and go refill my vessel just to get up and stretch my legs.

At home… Well, have you ever started playing a game at night and 5 minutes later the sun was up? Yeah, I’m always like that at home lol.

I do warehouse stuff and am basically constantly running around so that doesn’t help haha. I just don’t have the time to think about drinking mostly. At home I usually sit behind my PC with a glass of water for sipping as needed, and when it runs empty I refill it.

I get irrationally annoyed maybe once a week or so and it’s always because I didn’t drink enough water
