    That would be interesting if true though, but seems cruel. I’ve considered this for my pets but thought it u healthy and mean

    Cats are carnivores

    It would make more sense to feed your cat a meat-based diet

    Obviously, cats in the wild don’t scavenge for veggies

    So, what nutrients were believed to only be available from animal based sources, and what plant based sources are they able to come from now?

    I see a lot of people on both sides but nobody is discussing the actual nutrition deficits (or lack thereof)

      There are kibble brands that have synthetic taurine, b12.

    I just made my cat a garden salad with lettuce, cucumber, rocket, kale, and snow peas. he’s not eating it. What’s wrong?

      That’s a strawman. Cats need to eat a plant-based kibble formulated with the necessary taurine and b12.
