Vegan cheeses have gotten better and better as the years go on, here’s hoping they bring these stateside.
I wonder if they melt nicely. These look like they’d be good on my pizzas.
I long for a world where vegan cheese is good. Hopefully these come to my area and live up to the hype.
I’ve been very impressed with the Violife products, especially the cream cheese and the cheddar cheese shreds. The cream cheese lacks the upsetting twang the Philadelphia and shudder Tofutti products have and the cheese shreds even melt. The “cheddar” products lack the subtleties of flavor a proper cheddar can bring, but they work well in dishes where you mix cheese with other flavors.
When using the cream cheese in hot dips, though, you may need to add another emulsifier to help it stay firm and not runny.
