They were all caught on record voting against electoral reform on motion m-86. We deserve better than this.
The liberal supporters need to choose a decent liberal leader who supports proportional representation.
Register and vote in the leadership election. Regardless of where your true allegiance is, leadership elections are some of the most consequential elections for all Canadians.

Perhaps this. I’d check when the leadership race officially starts. Candidates would be campaigning and will have instructions on how to register and vote. Whether or not you want to vote for a particular candidate, the instructions would be the same.
I disagree. I hate prop-rep.
I prefer ranked-choice – as I worry about Karens shrieking in chambers about the plight of the invasive but now extinct-at -home left-handed arctic wallaby as the non-essential invasive peppermint fields due off. Or something.
Ranked choice kills minority governments but seems to still allow for coalitions like in Spain. Go figure, but that’s good enough for me and simple for the hillbillies too.
I say put the vote to a vote.
I think that getting any type of electoral reform will make it easier to get additional electoral reform, since any change that is actually meaningful will make it more likely that people who care about issues as “technical” as electoral reform will have a say in in the legislative process.
Every group should be represented in parliament. It is undemocratic to prevent the smaller parties from being represented. The big parties are not immune to extremist takeovers, in elections they only need 30% of the vote in some cases. Look at Pierre Poilievre, he is calling for an election when only a minority support him, he understands that by constantly attacking the other candidates in first past the post system he gains politically.
If you want to reduce the extremist smaller parties, campaign against them and knock on doors. Do it the fair way.
Imagine if all the parties focused on what they can do for Canadians instead of attacking the other guy, that’s what occurs under proportional representation. We need more compromise and collaboration in our governments.
