In my country not helping when someone can’t help themselves is a crime.
Was the Seinfeld finale based on your country?
edit: I didn’t really consider the context of this post. Trying to be funny / make references here wasn’t appropriate. I apologize.
Bruh, I don’t care if the kid is nonverbal. You don’t let kids scream for two hours, let alone one. I get that teaching is hard, but you need to be figuring out what’s happening, FFS.
Even nonverbal kids can still communicate, and it’s the teachers’ faults for not at least calling the parents sooner at a minimum.
I would rather the school interrupt my work day multiple times to potentially help them with something minor, rather than wait two hours for what turns out to be a medical emergency.
I wonder how well funded this school is. Are they able to afford qualified instructors? Or did they cut corners and this is the result?
Wouldn’t surprise me if the instructors were brand new or temporary. Even the caretakers at my son’s daycare know enough about his behavior to tell when a meltdown is more than a meltdown. I can’t imagine a child willingly crying, on the floor, for 30 mins without at least calling the parents who would know for sure if this is unusual behavior.
This is all to say funding might be a core issue if they can’t afford to pay the good ones to stick around.
They were let go.
We’ll have to see if their replacements are any better. If they even bother to hire replacements.
That is absolutely disgusting and outrageous, and so are many of the comments on the OP, but sadly neither is surprising. Fuck anyone making excuses for this ableist abuse.
Looks like I need to go down to Missouri City and slap some motherfuckers.
