@cyborganism Isn’t it easier to just not use Ubuntu? If you want to avoid snaps, Ubuntu is probably not where you want to be, I think
Of course!
I decided to remain with Kubuntu and I regret it, not gonna lie. If I get into any further problems with this whole mandatory Snap crap, I think I’ll just go ahead and install Debian. It’s the next best thing honestly. It’s just that I already spent a good 2 weeks setting up my system to my liking and it’s pretty much how I want it. I feel a bit lazy having to do it all over again, and then some. Because Debian requires a few extra steps that are covered by some really good quality of life improvements from Ubuntu distros.
So for anyone that’s stuck like me, I shared this link to help them out.
@cyborganism if you like the good improvements that Ubuntu provides on top of Debian, but want to avoid anti-user things like snaps and ads in the CLI, there are several distros that are built like that, such as Mint and Tuxedo OS
Yes. I know. Thanks.
Reinstall with Debian.
We’ll see. I’ve been about to work around it so far, but I might get fed up if I get into more problems and finally do it.
