Just a reminder that this is a PVOD release, not streaming. PVOD (premium video-on-demand) is when you pay a one-time price to buy or rent the movie digitally on platforms like Amazon Prime, iTunes, Google Play, Vudu, etc. It will not be available to stream for free on Max or Starz.
Of course, it makes no difference to those who torrent since it’ll be available on public trackers within the hour, but I’m just clearing things up for those who think it will stream for free on a subscription-based platform.
If as many people care as went to see it, both will be glad of your information.
I can’t imagine even wasting the bandwidth on torrenting that steaming heap of turds.
Ill put it on my list of things to watch AFTER Madam Web, a video of Spiders eating babies, videos of homeless people defecating in public, and a Donald Trump rally.
Madame Web has 2 things going for it: Sydney Sweeney
Madame Web was the most fun I’ve had in theaters in YEARS.
They constantly try to tell you her superpower is foresight but I swear her superpower is being able to hit bad guys with cars she drove through a wall.
I’m going to level with you. I watched Madam Web. It wasn’t great and it had a lot of “wait what?” moments, but it still was glued together enough as a movie not to be miserable. I set my expectations center of the earth low, and was pleasantly surprised.
Just watch the Madam Web Pitch Meeting: https://youtu.be/Kc0Tyfb_-UU
womp womp
lmao
Cool, now I can continue having no interest whatsoever in watching it.
Could it be so bad that it’s good ala Mario Bros?
As a watcher of so-bad-it’s-good movies, I don’t have high hopes. This movie looks like it will play straight down the middle of being competent enough while also not being weirdly creative in any way at all. That’s a recipe for the most boring kind of movie.
The 90’s Mario movie was terrible, but also absolutely bonkers, giving it some cult viewing value.
I’ve seen some others going in with that expectation, and the general consensus seems to be that its slow and extremely by-the-numbers, with nothing done badly enough to be funny or interesting. Its just bad in a boring way.
Nah it’s just bad. A lot of generic tropes.
That movie deserved an award. Not a great award, but an award.
Nah, don’t think so. Was in limbo for 3 years and they cut all the gore. Seems like a boring, competent made movie for no one.
Look at the top and you can see the crew man opening the hatch
Alright alright I take it back. There is just no excuse for that.
Competent? Not from the clips I’ve seen.
Maybe next time don’t release a movie based on a game that hasn’t had a new release in 5 years.
I think that was less the problem compared to the movie, by all accounts and previews, simply not being any good. There are plenty of long dormant game properties that could be the foundation for good movies or TV.
True, I just think it would have had a much better chance to succeed being relevant. Look at the new Fallout 76 expansion and its success following the series. Granted that series was actually good.
Naw, that could have bombed if it was bad just like halo. Bad writing and casting was its issue 100%.
Relevancy couldn’t elevate a movie that was assembled by studio committee, starring, written, directed, and produced by people who don’t care one bit about the source material or even try to get what made it popular to begin with. And let’s face it, not everything is adaptable to begin with. Nobody played Borderlands for its plot.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands came out in 2022.
Also recency of release is not an indicator of quality. They could’ve done a good job had they even remotely tried to be true to the source material. We’re seeing great examples of this recently, with The Last of Us and Fallout. If you care about the source material and don’t go about making a generic appeals-to-everyone slop, then you can make something decent.
