Yeah cheap shit gamer chairs with .0001mm pleather will do that. I’ve only had 3 desk chairs in my entire life and I only dumped the first 2 because my rabbit ate the armrests (and the new one was free). None of the seats have ever worn out like that
Yep, same. Going on 15 years on the current Broyhill I have that I found in a dumpster that just needed a base.
I have never seen a chair with a wear pattern like that.
I’m an upholsterer, you’ll see that on forklifts and loaders but with more wear on the right hand side from getting in and out. I’d say this guy is doing a lot of bouncing and back and forth in this chair.

I think it’s three things.
- Cheap fabric on the chair
- From the bunching at the front, it looks like this person slides forward when getting out of their chair and not straight up. After awhile, it started to tear until we got what we see here.
- Probably a bit of a stinky Pete given the stains, but I also don’t know how old this chair is.
