It’s kind of wild to step back. It’s great to be in the post-season chase, but this team’s underperformed so much relative to pre-season expectations (e.g., predictions we’d win the world series). I think we’re essentially trying to defend the 3rd wild card spot for the rest of the season. But, if things go poorly this series, Boston could kick us out of it. Plus, Manoah’s starting tonight: last year ace, this year 6th man in the rotation? Let’s beat the Red Sox for the first time this season and kick this series off right - Go Puma! Go Davis Schneider! I hope Springer gets another hit! I hope Paul DeJong does something too, if only to feel a little more at ease in his new club. I’m intrigued to see Jano hitting cleanup! Another Jano blast? Yes please.
Every once in a while I try to remind myself that this team is pretty good and I should appreciate that, even if I’m disappointed they’re not likely to win the division. Not to mention they still have a shot at winning the whole thing, or at least making a deep playoff run.
1st MLB AB 💣💣💣 for Schneider!! LFG!
An incredible breath of fresh air for this team. LFG!
And it almost went out of the ballpark! Did we bring this guy up too early 🥴?
I bet Davis Schneider has been called David many times in his life. The “s” in Davis is requires a lot of effort to cleanly articulate if you say “Davis Schneider”, and most listeners if it’s unclear probably presume the more common “David”. I’ve been hearing about this guy on Jays radio on and off again for months and that’s what I did
Get at 'em Whit! From the applause on that I’d say there’s a healthy share of Jays fans at Fenway TN
Edit: OMG, a Vladdy HR 1st AB over the monster - could there be a better good omen?
Lets GO! Paxton secret agent??
Secret sleeper agent. When his eyes roll back, that’s when he’s been given the instructions to take a dive :P
I’ll take a first pitch 💣 any day
Yeah! Jays putting up crooked numbers (or any runs) in the 1st inning is special too. Could be good for Puma’s confidence as well
I wonder if Manoah sees more lefties, above and beyond split advantages, due to how many (primarily right-handed) batters he HBPs?
So nice to be on the other side of a base-running error ☺️😎
Where’s this Jays team been lately? You know what, don’t answer that - just keep it up!The ball is travelling well tonight!

“He looks like a ballplayer with soft hands.”
- Pat Tabler probably
I miss the Tabler double entendres! Soft hands was like the most common, #1, but I can’t remember #2
All I remember is “guns poppin’”
Please win. I expect this Jordan to be lights out Jordan.
Triple digit numbers in pitches. Check. Filthy stuff. Check. Can’t score on him. Check
I like this Jordan.
I’m so glad our front office realized there’s a reason other teams like velo. Barker gave a good breakdown of what facing 92 vs 95 vs 100 mph is like as a batter on today’s Blair & Barker
Ballparks having different outfield dimensions is one of the things I love about baseball. Per that idea, I really like Fenway b/c of how unique it is.
I love this small no nonsense singles. Get on base, run hard.
So that’s pretty fun…we should like, keep doing that?
Yes, please! I sure hope we didn’t inadvertently blow the majority of our (home) runs in this game of the series 😅
Edit: 0-7 risp today
