So many places are asking for a tip when you pay for a drink/meal that they just call out your name/number. You’re not even bringing me the food, you’re just making it and slapping it on a counter. What am I tipping for? You making the food? Isn’t that why you get paid? Servers that bring you food and take your orders I get because they’re being shafted on wages from stupid bullshit laws.
The standard I grew up with was 15%. Excellent service got 20%. Subpar service got 10%. Horrible service got 0%.
