Israel’s military has bombed another United Nations-run school as well as an Israeli-designed “safe-zone” in the Gaza Strip, killing at least 42 Palestinians and wounding dozens of others, according to Palestinian officials.

The Israeli attacks on Tuesday hit the UN’s al-Razi school in the central Nuseirat refugee camp and a main street lined with market stalls in the southern al-Mawasi area, where thousands of displaced Palestinians had sought shelter.

One could wonder why israel keeps designating “Hamas bases” as safe zones after they claim to have fully cleared those areas out.

Almost like israel is just terror bombing schools full of children for no reason except being a Nazi terror state.

Schools and an education population are important for a society. It’s part of Israel’s systematic campaign of attacking every institution of Palestine.

Nah mate, I’m pretty sure Israel is a nazi state. We should give them the nazi treatment seeing how hard they try to be called nazis. But it’s very simple to stop being called nazi. You just need to stop your ethnic cleanse in Palestine.

Now I have one more reason not to watch Seinfeld.

Well, the Jews have been victims of a genocide themselves (I’m sure you know which one, Moustache Man was involved), but it does not justify having them be the perpetrators of another genocide.

“Never again” means never again for everyone, not just Jewish people. It’s about time Israel learns this (oh wait, they won’t).

They’re doing their best. Since the people tracking the death toll have been bombed into the dirt and the majority of residences in the gaza strip have been completely demolished, the actual toll of this conflict is a lot more than the commonly cited 30,000+. In Gaza, 2 Million Palestinians lived in high density, and the Israeli military pushed them into camps near Rafah which they’ve also started striking.

If the conflict suddenly ends, though, so will Netanyahu’s power grab, so he’s dragging it out.

So Israel gathers Palestinian civilians in their concentration camp in a designated building, and then systematically slaughters them after telling them they are safe there…

Yes. That’s what we’ve been doing for the last 75 years.

Seemingly not for much longer, though, what with the ICC arrest warrants and the US pretending harder than ever to be neutral.

south africa and ireland are taking them to international court, but at the end of the day, it is the countries that actually have people/resources/power to enforce the court’s orders. And nobody is willing to invade Israel to bring them to justice (and bring their leadership to the courthouse). Almost all countries in the UN signed treaties promising they would enforce arrest orders, but when push comes to shove, nobody wants to be the one to do it. Israeli offivials can go visit their allies freely

Nah, the people in charge want the people gone so they can build settlements and get rich not really because of ethnic cleansing, that’s just how they get the people to look the other way. So they wouldn’t do anything to make the land unusable. But if there was a weapon that could kill everyone without making the rubble radioactive they would totally do it.

And I would say “a school” vs a “a school building currently hosting refugee families” is a very minor component of the larger story that “a nation has been bombing those civilian buildings full of non-combatants in established safe zones”.

education in Gaza has been directly linked to the incitement of terrorism. In Gaza the children read textbooks in school containing hateful, antisemitic messaging along with encouraging martyrdom and jihad.

According to the IDF and far right Knesset members and organizations beholden to them. AKA the least reliable sources regarding anything even REMOTELY connected to Palestine.

Two wrongs don’t make a right. I was highlighting to the OP why education (in this instance) isn’t actually reducing bigotry and hate like it would in many other cases, but instead making the problem worse.
