They’ve made a lot of great changes and additions over time. The new lighting being a very welcome addition. I’ve been checking in on progress once in awhile but haven’t played in ages.
Nice to see they’ve got the wiki page back. I remember back when it was marked for deletion for being non notable.
I grabbed the Minecraft clone, and it’s hilarious. Although one of the things I really liked about minetest was the auto-pickup of items, so I need to see how to change that. lol. It’s kinda awesome seeing Minecraft in minetest, though. :)
One of the things I really like about minetest is how high and deep you can go. And that the world is only like 64kx64k blocks feels like it’s not a terrible limitation - that’s plenty of room. But the depth is really awesome to have - even with Minecraft’s increased depth, minetest wins that battle easily. :)
