I just learned about Sherri Papini, and it reinforces how multiple types of privilege allow people to get away with so much. It also reminded me how much depravity people are capable of. People don’t like to believe others they think they relate to are capable of lying and manipulating because it can be scary to feel like someone “like them” can do those things. People are wild. As a small advice, feel free to ban those users. The sidebar and pinned threads are there and clear enough, the recommendation if they don’t like this content is to block the community and move on, if they do not get that, preventing them from seeing it by banning them seems a reasonable reaction.

I don’t mind when people comment out of curiosity but it’s annoying when they double down after being told what the community is about. It’s not productive to comment on things you don’t understand/are not interested in learning about.

She’s the 5th kid. Her mom will singsong talk and indulge her as equally as the actual kids. She doesn’t want the inconvenience of dealing with her own toddler when there are sweaty actors in character costumes to be hugged, joyfully teary selfies to be set up, taken and shared to insta for bragging purposes and overpriced merch made in China to buy up.

Canker sores can be triggered by a lot of things, like stress, acidic things, brushing your teeth too vigorously, hormonal changes, allergies. So yes it is possible, but I tend to not believe anything she says.

I find her posts are utter nonsense. She thinks she is interesting but shows off how education and curiosity has failed her. She has followers and crap to sell. Thats it. My friends have more interesting lives and observations and they aren’t on social media speaking/selling to the masses.

It’s the filter reshaping her eyes and having a glitch. This is a common thing for her but you usually miss it because you have to zoom right in. That and the eyelid crease that competently disappears on the outer corners.

Lemon is still being dropped at Nana’s to be coddled every day? I’m sorry but Sarah’s career doesn’t seem to be too demanding lately to not be watching her kid. All she’s done is go to NYC to watch a movie and then she had a fun non work related trip to LA (doing a podcast doesn’t scream work to me).
I really hope L gets to finally go to some sort of school in the fall and interact with people her own age.

So demanding. She hit up mission thrift on the way home from the mall, I hope this is a knock off she over paid for. I had to do a double take when I saw her. She wouldn’t look up and make eye contact but M did so I couldn’t get a longer look.
I get so grossed out by how often she thrifts when she is so rich. She can afford a vintage YSL from Vestiaire or eBay at a higher price point but instead, she goes to the thrift stores and buys up all the good stuff that are the only affordable options in this economy for many people. She won’t use this, it will be thrown on that chair in her room or on the floor never to be used again like everything she buys.

In her new fitglow ad, she claims she has green eyes. Anyone who’s been around since the Reddit days knows that this is yet another shapeshifting feature. Blue? Green? Brown? Allegedly…green. Interesting. I’m sure someone could produce about 15 examples of other colours she’s appeared to have.

Her ads are the worst. Don’t most serious influencers probably use one of those ring lights? Her ads are always super dark, low quality (from filters I’m sure). Why do companies want her showcasing their products when her ads are just shit quality. She doesn’t influence me to buy anything.

I’ve been looking at getting new tennis shoes. on cloud popped up, and I immediately cringed. Then I remembered Sarah posting a pair and saying, “I’m a running girlie now.” Anything she buys or posts about turns me completely off of buying it.

June and July are typically a lot slower for influencers so I wonder if this is affecting her. I am honestly surprised that she hasn’t jumped on to hawking Amazon shit to bring in more income because it would be extremely lucrative for her even with a couple of links per day. I personally hate Amazon with a passion and think it’s a shady way to earn a living because it’s all crap they share, I am just surprised she hasn’t gone that way to bring in extra money.

I realize that we all have to somehow take part in capitalism and a lot of things people can only get by going to big box, stores, or Amazon, but I always think it’s a big win for the planet and a loss for billionaires when influencers post less about consuming. I never actually want influencers to over consume and thereby influence others yo do the same. I’ll give credit where credit is due and I hope this is a trend that continues and that all the other shine people also stop pushing everyone to buy all the time. Little victories for the planet are little victories am I right? We need less fast fashion (instead let’s support local and small and NO s&t isn’t small) , more activism (or even some activism like speaking up for Sudan, DRC and Palestine, and trans kids) and less trips (local shops need influencers to give them business to drive business). When I see even small changes I HOPE they are moving to being more authentic (I won’t get my hopes up too much but you never know). Calling people out on snarks is the only way they can see what people think and it’s necessary to demand more from people on platforms.
Oh I totally agree, but if we are being honest she really doesn’t give a shit about the planet so I think the reasoning behind the lack of Amazon links is laziness since you need to be pushing them all day long for it to be profitable. She consumes constantly, just not via Amazon so I don’t really consider it a win when it comes to her. Maybe if she was sharing ethical brands or ways to reduce consumption but she literally shops every single day for no other reason but to buy crap. I can’t even fathom the amount of money she spends on garbage that just gets piled around her house. I’d love to see her branch out in a sustainable or activist direction but she is way too selfish to even consider that. I need to stop remembering she exists because she is taking too much of my thoughts lately.
Amazon’s Christmas in July is coming up so Shine is probably curating their storefronts and they aren’t pushing as much in the couple of weeks leading up to the big push. It’s cynical of me to think this but it makes sense
