I’ve had a conspiracy theory about Netanyahu and why he’s been pushing into Gaza so hard. He and his party know that what they’re doing is unpalatable for most western liberal and left-wing voters, meaning liberals and left-wing politicians are more likely to be(come) critical and cut off aid to Israel than their right-wing counterparts. Biden, as infuriatingly slow as he is, seems to be gradually becoming less and less supportive of Israel, while iirc Trump (or at least his allies) has talked about going all-in on Gaza.

If you’re Netanyahu, the idea of your largest ally potentially dropping support and cutting off aid is a scary thing, especially when you’re surrounded by countries that want you dead. Wouldn’t you try to influence the politics of your allies to swing in your favor?

As such, I have a suspicion that Netanyahu and his party are not only using the genocide to stay in power, but also as a poison pill for western liberal and left-wing politicial allies. The intent being to make liberal allies like Biden unpalatable to their voter base so that there is a decreased liberal voter turnout to tip the scales in favor of politicians like Trump.

Or more simply, I think it’s possible Netanyahu is using Gaza to stab foreign liberal politicians in the back and skew voter turnout in favor of politicians who are less likely to grow a conscience. I think that’s why it is that every time Biden “draws a line”, Netanyahu puts his toe over it and says, “nyah, nyah, nyahnyah nyah, I’m not liisteeeeniiiiing.” It’s not just to keep himself in power, it’s also a way of influencing his allies’ elections.

The conspiracy is a lot simpler. Bibi is in serious, serious shit with many Israeli voters except for, Right-Wing, Zionist, many religious and some moderate Jews. He is looking at possible removal and even jail time for corruption and blatant abuse of power. Not the first time. He tried to weaken their Judicial Branch, too, by removing some of their powers last year. Gee… I wonder why? There were protests Re: that in Israel that did not get a lot of airtime in the West but you can find lots of footage if you look for it. At this point both the Biden admin and the GOP speak a lot of different BS but in the end they both are folding like a house of cards to their masters, I mean moneyed interests and lobbyists. Just look at what they are both doing, laws they are passing or gave just passed, and what they are ‘not’ stopping. Both DNC and GOP are also voting to send even more money to Israel. BLM protests? Let entire city blocks run to the groundfor months. Looting weekend in and weekend out for months . Cops take a knee on command. Pro-Palestinian protests? Sent snipers to rooftoops, send swat teams right always, and try to shut down TikTok. Also, what is with trying to manipulate pro-Palestian sentiment into anti-zionism? Not the same thing. Reasonable people can see this.

This is what they say: https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2024/04/antisemitism-conspiracy-theories-tiktok/678088/

This is what they actually push for: https://www.nytimes.com/2023/11/16/technology/tiktok-jewish-open-letter-antisemitism.html

            https://www.jpost.com/diaspora/antisemitism/article-773817

Removing the Palestinians from Gaza would be a major victory for him and this party and in some circles Bibi would go into the history books for ‘bringing all of Israel back,’ he is hoping this will safeguard him from any Legal Liabilities. In fact he is aiming for the opposite. We know he wants the Palestinians/Gaza shipped elsewhere, anywhere. Biden and some other leaders are already looking into taking some. The West Bank will be next. He will claim that there are terrorists there or Hama’s and will try to push for more subjugation or worse, removal.

At this point, both the DNC and GOP will do Israel’s bidding. The DNC will just be more careful to not be as blatantly obvious. I really do not think they care who wins. Albeit granted Trump is more obvious with his support on the surface.

The big end game is for Bibi’s party to stay in power and Bibi thinks this move will keep in jail and likely the opposite, be remembered as a Hero for the cause if he removes the Gazans and takes over the land. Which he likely or at least partly get if he succeeds.

To be fair both the US and the EU did ban Russian journalists, so it seems hypocritical to judge Israel here.

The US and EU have no room to judge Israel, that’s true.

“They” censor “our” view: BAD! “We” censor “their” view: sure, thats fine?

You know propaganda works both ways right? It’s maybe different extends, but i still believe dude is right and censorship is not the right way to go.

Somehow ensuring factual news would be amazing, but that would need to count for fucking everyonem…oh well one can dream…

When people recognize they were wrong about something, as smugly satisfying as it may be it’s not actually helpful to tell them that they should have been correct sooner.

I don’t think it’s about being smug. It’s about pointing out the important fact that none of this is new except the scale. Divide by 100-1000 and this is just daily life in Palestine.

For the hostages. I mean it’s not like I don’t want the hostages to return but most of them are definitely not there for the genocide. See: How 88% of Israeli Jews support the war, and 94% think Israel is using too little or just enough fire power.

Well this inspires confidence in the Netanyahu Administration.

Unfortunately it’s nothing new. They’ve already banned journalists in any place they could get anything revealing human rights abuses. If anything it’s a portent of further Likud-led fascism cracking down hard within the borders of Israel itself.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

An Al Jazeera correspondent on its Arabic service said the order would affect the broadcaster’s operations in Israel and in east Jerusalem, where it has been doing live shots for months since the Oct. 7 attack that sparked the war in Gaza.

The decision threatens to heighten tensions with Qatar at a time when the Doha government is playing a key role in mediation efforts to halt the war in Gaza, along with Egypt and the United States.

Relations took a major downturn nearly two years ago when Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh was killed during an Israeli military raid in the occupied West Bank.

Al Jazeera is one of the few international media outlets to remain in Gaza throughout the war, broadcasting bloody scenes of airstrikes and overcrowded hospitals and accusing Israel of massacres.

While Al Jazeera’s English operation often resembles the programming found on other major broadcast networks, its Arabic arm often publishes verbatim video statements from Hamas and other militant groups in the region.

Sunday’s development immediately recalled Egypt’s shutdown of Al Jazeera after the country’s 2013 military takeover following mass protests against President Mohammed Morsi, a member of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood group.

The original article contains 927 words, the summary contains 198 words. Saved 79%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

I only wish Al Jazeera wasn’t sht. Then I’d be pissed off instead of indifferent. If only they hadn’t published misleading trash over and over. This is what happens when you decide to push falsehoods instead of simple facts.
