It’s kind of shocking seeing a couple of disabled people get beaten down, but it is worth it as it makes their journey feel real.

But the bad English dub, the one sound effect, and the fight scenes that happen every 5 minutes get laughably bad and boring.

I guess it lived up to the expectations with a name like “The Crippled Masters.”

This is a classic. It gave jobs and celebrity to people that otherwise wouldn’t have had that. It showed that people with disabilities could still kick ass. It is the antithesis of handicap invisibility. Also it’s freaking awesome. .

Yeah, TCM showed it as part of their Disability Reclaimed series, which is why I watched it. It walks the line of exploitation and empowerment. It’s fascinating on that level.

Looks interesting. Sounds like it has a similar vibe as Kung Pao Enter the Fist. Any other poorly dubbed films you’d recommend?

Time of the Apes is classic for its dubbing and editing:

Johnny, don’t go, it’s too dangerous outside

      I don’t care!

Attack from Space stuck with me for some reason.

Oh, New York Ninja is technically dubbed. That is a film shot in the 80s and released in 2022. Go check out the backstory on it, it’s really interesting.
