Police in Saanich have issued a warning after a resident reported a cougar sighting in their backyard Saturday morning.

    Is this person new to Canada, to Victoria, to Saanich? That’s been the hunting area of a cougar for a LONG time. We used to walk past a particular copse of trees nearby that we KNEW housed a different cougar. No big deal.
