Good. I would rather stay locked down a little longer and get it over with rather than having a long decline, or worse a recurrence.

Obviously talking with hindsight here, if only other people held the same position, we would’ve not been decimated by the 3rd wave.

Third? aren’t we riding like the fifth or sixth wave by now?

If people had actually quarantined correctly as they were asked to at the beginning of all of this, instead of holding super-spreader events, this would have started, and ended in 2020. instead there were anti-mask, anti-lockdown, anti-quarantine protests, and people defying health orders left, right, and center. Only when it became government mandated did everyone even slightly start to do what they should have.

At every step of the way, it’s been unnecessarily difficult to keep people from infecting everyone they meet with anything they come across. Nearly every person I know besides my closest friend group, has been actively ignoring social distancing, masking and isolation rules since it was no longer a government mandate. They’re acting like this is over. I keep saying “you may be ‘done with COVID’, but COVID isn’t done with you.”

That statement is true, and will continue to be true until people wise up.

“Experts” are called “experts” for a reason, well at least some of them. What I mean by that is that they are professionals who have dedivoted their lives, yet people decide to listen to business “experts” (here I use air quotes for the perpose of deminishing the word) rather than trained professionals who are mentioned in headlines as “experts” due to the word having fewer characters.
