Round 1 - surge in measles due to anti vax

Round 2 - surge in blindness due to staring at the sun to own the libs

And these people are spreading disinformation in the form of what’s called coordinated messaging that illegal unvaccinated immigrants are the ones causing the measles outbreak! I’ve seen it all over Facebook.

The initial post comes across to me as intentionally crafted to spread and cause mischief. But, it’s also very possibly an example of poe’s law. When you so accurately mimic stupid, how can anyone tell for sure whether it’s parody. It could just as easily be a real post.

You mean like when someone posts a scam link and another person immediately pops up and says that this is the best [scam name] they ever used?

Nope, it’s when a group of disinformation twits post the same message on all their social media accounts to try and spread rumors.

Please think logically people… God has been doing volcanoes for a very long time & nowhere does he mention we need to not jump in them

Please think logically people… God has been doing water for a very long time & nowhere does he mention we need to not inhale his miracle life giving substance or breathe “air”.

Sure, and mountains have been there for centuries, no reason why we shouldn’t climb Everest despite the piles of corpses up there.

Anyone who wants to see the eclipse (if you’re in an area that can see it) and don’t have glasses go to a tree covered area and watch the shadows of the leaves on the ground, it’s pretty trippy

This is what I saw, more or less, in 2017. The noticeable dimming and the crescent dappling was very interesting and eerie. We’re in for about a minute of totality this time, though we’re also getting predictions of clouds, so maybe no corona. :-(

Never heard of that myself, but I suppose it’d be good advice for fancy binocs with an integrated digital camera or something. Mine were super-cheap and didn’t seem any worse for the wear.

Watch the reflection in a black tub or bin filled with still water or hang a white sheet a few feet above your head.

The water mirror will be the better option to watch progress until totality.

Even if they went fucking blind from staring at the sun they wouldn’t find out. They’d just blame woke libruls for it and call it a day

Nowhere in the Bible does God say you shouldn’t jump into a wood chipper. Saying they’re dangerous is just woke propaganda; actually it’ll fix everything that ails you and I highly suggest all conservatives go and give it a try

Here’s a neat thing: It is entirely safe to directly view a total eclipse, the part where you only see the corona and not the actual sun.

Oh, if only there were a worldwide network of information resources that could explain to them what the risks are and how the glasses can be both prudent and enhance your experience! If only!

The biggest thing with the glasses is that if you wear them, you get to stare at the freakin’ sun! That’s awesome. Beyond that, you just have to make sure you put them on before totality is done, or look away before it’s done to let your eyes adjust naturally. I sense that these dummies are exactly the ones who will stare at the corona until they see a split second sunrise that fries n-percent of their photoreceptors. It’s fine though, I’m sure at least one of them will end up with a Jesus-shaped retinopathy spot.

Wikipedia says the damage from this is mostly heals after a few months, so they will probobly be fine. Will be an intresting few months though.

The answer as to why it’s dangerous is literally a single search away. It would’ve taken less time to search it up than spread this shit around.

You don’t come to this conclusion if you’re the kind of person to trust legitimate sources of information.
