Paramedics confirmed they were called to a crash Thursday morning when an OC Transpo double-decker bus slid off Frank Kenny Road in the Navan area. One man was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police have urged caution for the morning commute, with most roads continue to be slippery.

They don’t even bother mentioning O-Train failures in the headlines anymore:

Amilcar says around around 6:10 a.m., a westbound train came to a stop on the O-Train’s Confederation Line due to “a technical issue” at Bayview Station.

“When the operator could not resolve it, technicians were dispatched for further troubleshooting. During this time, Line 1 continued to operate with single track service between Tunney’s Pasture and Lyon stations. Customers were required to transfer at Lyon Station to continue their trips.”

Ugh. I still get pissed off when I think about how good light rail should be.

It’d probably make headlines had the entire line come to a halt. Still, that’s no excuse for our expensive, fragile, and mediocre system.

Would be nice to see historical data for the level of service for the O Train to get a real sense at how bad things are.

OC Transpo releases annual stats, including the number of missed trips. I think you can find them on their website.

How did this bus driver function like a month ago?
