What else are you gonna wear in a casual situation? Khakis, chinos? Most casual pants are made out of jeans material, blue no less.
Khakis and chinos look like pretty regular trousers without being jeans or cargo pants
And they’re also more comfortable. As a jeans + t-shirt 99% of the time type of guy, I’ve been slowly phasing the jeans out as I’m buying more and more chinos and other types of “fancier” but more importantly more comfortable pants.
Next time I’m feeling useless, I’ll remember that it’s somebody’s job to blur out blue jeans for North Korean television. Sucks that a frame of the forbidden fabric could land multiple generations of their family in prison for life though, bit of a downer.
This is despite the country briefly exporting designer jeans to Sweden.
