    I’m not sold on Slafkovsky’s hockey IQ. Kid got blind-sided two-dozen times last year.

    Also notable, feels like this list is a sign that we are finally giving up on Primeau as the next starter. I think Monty will be better than expected this upcoming season. He played well last year behind a terrible team.

      I’m not ready to throw the towel on Slafkowsky yet. I see his problem as being similar to Lindros’s; they’re big guys and never had to keep their heads up in juniors, so they didn’t grow up with that mentality. But I hope St. Louis can impress the need to keep mindful of his surroundings.

        Yeh I’m not saying I’m giving up on him - that would be crazy after one season - I’m just saying I’m not sold on him. Great point about juniors.

        Power forwards can definitely take a good 5 years to mature into their role (and body size).
