Did you know that penguins have a special anus able to withstand a much higher psi than most animals?

They need this so they can squirt their poop away from the egg they’re keeping warm.

Of course there’s so many penguins in close proximity, this means they’re all covered in shit and smell bad.

I have first hand experience of the smell, I was told this by a scientist on our way to Antarctica.

        Here’s the research paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/2007.00926

Just to put the smell in perspective….

Is it worse than a sack of spoiling potatoes?

I’ve never smelled bad potatoes, but penguins eat mostly krill so just imagine tons of fishy poop

It’s not a smell I can really recommend, let’s just say it’s the most, uh, memorable smell I’ve smelled.

(Specifically cleaning dormitories over summer. Someone left a sack. Ac was turned off.)

Penguins have very modern social habits. There’s been numerous instances of gay penguins, and they’ll even adopt any extra eggs.

Floods aren’t just water but also everything the water picks up in the process of flooding, which is pretty much everything in its path, including the contents of things normally kept in water below ground. And if you think it’s bad for humans needing to cross through flood waters (or stuck in them), think about the fish that have to live in water but now it’s mixed with all the gross land animal stuff in addition to the normal gross water animal stuff.

When a mother hyena gives birth, she squeezes the pups out of her massive cock. This is horribly painful and will sometimes result in her cock exploding or ripping off.

Dolphins are very rapey. Bunch of males sometimes get together and gang-rape a female for hours.

More older I am, more I think that I have some brain damage as for social interactions. It always feel like I am overthinking how should I react in most instances, when for other people it’s probably more natural. Although I must say that people tend to be always smiling or being nice around me for some reason, and to be honest I don’t get it.
