We actually made that drive once and it took > 4 hrs iirc. But we did in December when every little town had its Christmas lights up and it was much more enjoyable than the 401.

You are a mighty patient person to take that route! Smart to go in winter, when there are a few less tractors to pass.
If you’re feeling extra patient and want to go the other direction, apparently it stretches all the way through Quebec and New Brunswick to Nova Scotia.
Yeah I was taking the 1000 Islands Pkwy to Brockville a few weeks ago and noticed a road that branches off of it to go straight downtown. And that is, you guessed it, Hwy 2! I guess it just keeps going and going!
