The extension shinigami eyes is back.

Quick context: the extension allows you to see which profiles are supportive or transphobic and it wasn’t updated for 2 years.

I was worried it was abandoned. Hopefully we can get Ecosia and Lemmy supported and have it expanded it to cover racist/sexist profiles soon. I would like to donate to the developer if I could.

It is my favourite Firefox extension because it would protect you from seeing all the hate online and prevent unintentionally supporting a slimy transphobe😡 and it quite literally revealed to you people’s true colours.

I haven’t heard of or used this extension. If someone calls you racist/ sexist/ transphobe, that’s it? Because if you’ve seen youtube’s nerdrotic, you know lots of people throw ‘racist’ around like it’s candy… So, how does it work?

I’m curious too. Like …I’ve had a few conversations about transphobia that involved terms, as in discussing crap people say. Would it search my history and call me a transphobe?

No, in that case you’re talking about context.

This extension is for people who explicitly say transphobic things themselves repeatedly and are consequently flagged red.

It can tell the context though? That’s what I’m worried about. Is this like an AI thing that’s truly examining the meaning of the sentences? Or is it just searching a person’s history for the word.

Like back on reddit, where I had been there for 11 years, I had several discussions about things like racism and transphobia and homophobia where we actually discuss the words. So the words, over the years, would pop up in my history more than a few times.

I like the idea behind something like this? But at the same time I wouldn’t use something like this to condemn a person 100% you know?

Edit- lol I give that big ass speech and then I see your response to the other dude. It’s based off what people have reported. Carry on! I’m not worried anymore :)

It’s based on a community reporting system so if enough people report a transphobe they turn red.
