McDaniel spoke at the RNC’s winter meeting in Las Vegas behind closed doors on Friday, addressing a gathering of state chairmen and other top party members in what’s expected to be a critical swing state in the November election.

“We Republicans will stick together, as united as the union our party long ago fought to preserve,” McDaniel said, quoting Ronald Reagan, according to people who were in the room and disclosed her remarks on condition of anonymity to discuss a private gathering. “We’ll have our battles ahead of us, but they’re good battles, and they’re worth fighting for.”

McDaniel’s appeal for unity comes as former President Donald Trump and his allies push the party to get behind him and effectively end the primary even though he still faces a final major rival, former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley. While McDaniel has fought off opponents before, winning a competitive race for a fourth term as chairwoman last year, she’s now facing Trump supporters on the far right who are creating parallel efforts that could conflict with the national party.

Yeeeeah, you’ve already been sidelined as part of a fascist takeover. You guys had your chance to stop him, a few years ago before he took the mask completely off. Mike Pence even actually did, temporarily at least, and deserves credit for that. They wanted to hang him for it.

Now it’s our turn. If we fail it’ll eventually be the military’s job, and whether they choose to uphold their oaths to defend a piece of paper and literally coup him when he ignores it. If they fail, we get a fascist hell and probably end up invading Mexico, because war is how incompetent fascists keep the wheels spinning. So, kindly fuck off. Best thing you can do is spend the RNC bank account on a nice lavish vacation for yourself and vote for Biden.

Naive fools. The business elite thought they could control Hitler too. Didn’t work out so well for them either.

If the phrase “Hold my vape” takes off I might actually be motivated to quit vaping. (I know I should anyways but I’d rather not die of embarrassment first.)

They didn’t have vapes when I quit smoking and people do tell me it’s helped them quit, but considering all the flavors of vape juice out there, I’d probably have ended up vaping more than I ever smoked because it tasted so good.

I quit back in 2000 when you could get GPCs for like $1.50 a pack if you were desperate enough for shitty cigarettes, so that wasn’t the problem at the time. But that would also definitely make me vape more if that were the case back then.

It definitely helped me quit. It’s easy enough to reduce the amount of nicotine you’re consuming gradually, then when you do stop it’s not as dramatic of a change for your body. I did vape more than I smoked because it’s delicious and very easy to just keep hitting it without really thinking.

That makes sense. I was able to quit because where I worked, literally everyone smoked. The whole office was a cloud of smoke. So I got a ton of it second-hand. It still wasn’t easy to quit, but I am absolutely sure that was how I was able to do it.

And they’re currently supporting the governor of Texas who is fomenting the idea of secession. So I guess they are as united as they want the union to be…

the leading fascist party is low on funds? maybe their entire platform being ‘fascism’ isnt as popular as they thought with people with actual, donate-able money.

you can only extract so much from morons in trailer parks.

Imagine if Hitler’s rise to power were stopped because his legal bills had bankrupted the Nazi party. If only some German haus frau had sued Hitler into oblivion sometime in the early 1930s…

      this is the worst framing

the needs and wants of people in trailer parks and other impoverished people are just as important as the wants of whose with money,

and the fact that a politician is more beholden to those with money than those without is a horrible flaw, not a feature.

We also don’t want to perpetuate the false narrative that the democratic party is the party of rich intellectual elites; that’s one of the most successful selling points for recruiting normal people into the republican party
