DS2 looks wild. That doll thing is gonna give me nightmares. I gotta play the first one.
The first one is excellent. It might take a while for it to kick in (Chapter 3 is when the game opens up), but I found it engaging from the off.
That was a nice State of Play. After a long while 😀
I thought for me that was a lot to get excited about and interested in, so one of the better state of plays for me. Silent Hill: The Short Message was an interesting reveal that I wasn’t expecting and it was good to see more of SH2, which is what I was hoping to see. I was expecting to see more FFVII Rebirth, so the last message that it’ll be a dedicated SoP next week was great.
Oh and Kojima, lol.
I have little faith for Silent Hill 2, but we’ll see. Going the route of action for your psychological horror title seems like bloober team is missing the point again
Going to an action route is probably the best part of what I’ve seen in this remake. I’ve a lot of issues with everything else I’ve seen about it, but not that.
Silent Hill 2 was already an action heavy game, but a bad one. We all just kind of lived with that fact because everything else about it is beyond perfect
So when remaking, you can choose to either remove the action part, keep it, or change it. They chose to change it to resident evil remakes style, which I think is the best choice there.
Helldivers 2 is going to have mech, muahahahahahaha~~~~
Honestly, it’s worth a try if you ever think co-op PvE shooter is fun. :D
Helldivers is great!
That was not bad. There are a few game i want to play and some i’m interrested in. Stellar Blade and Rise of Ronin, i play for sure and maybe Until Dawn. Not sure about Silent hill and konami, but would be interrested, just have to look if it’s something i should spend my money in with that company. And not sure if it will be good enough
Sony really do go out of their way to ever suggest games are coming out on other platforms. Most are coming to PC and Xbox but you’d never know it from these videos. “Being developed for PS5” is the weirdest example.
I’ve noticed XBox have been pulling similar things as well, with the worst offender being Persona 3: Reload. You’d wouldn’t know from the trailers that its on other platforms - even on the website PS only gets a mention in the order section. Its quite annoying that they’re both doing that.
Ha really! I haven’t seen them do it, probably because there aren’t many Xbox releases I’ve been interested in.
I don’t keep a super close eye on XBox but I do watch some of their announcements, just incase. Normally I dislike pulling a “they’re all as bad as each other” but felt it was justified in this case.
Fair enough. My comment genuinely wasn’t anti-Sony snark, I just find it annoying. Often I think, oh I like the look of this game but it would probably be better with a mouse and keyboard, I wonder if it’s coming to PC? And of course Sony never say so I have to look it up. Same with the PSVR2 games.
Nintendo is the only company that can truly get away with it since their games never come out for any other platform. And that’s annoying in its own special way.
Oh I know it wasnt snark, apologies if my replies make you think I assumed that.
I absolutely get where you’re coming from though. Sometimes I do wonder if its down to the developers or even their publishers for allowing MS and Sony to do that with their games. I actually suspect that they pay them for the rights to do it. Which is shitty all in of itself.
This was a really good state of play, I’m super excited for so many of these games
