Saw a post today over on Reddit… Figured I’d check here.

Already recognized a few names.

I wasn’t super active over there, but was lurking around a lot!

Pick me! Although I still pop over to Reddit for certain topics, I’ve decided that r/Winnipeg is far too negative. So all of my posts here will bring the positive, and I’ll let them circlejerk over there without me.

@smorks made me moderator out of the blue. But if anyone wants to lend a hand, let me know. So far I haven’t had to do a single thing as moderator. But I occasionally drop offline over a weekend or something and it’d be nice to have a plan B in case trolls figure out that we all left reddit ;)

Just remember… “r/Winnipeg is not the majority”

      Also… “It’s only Reddit”

Some people take it too seriously

Was medium active there but recently deleted all my comment and post history then deleted my account. Still head back to lurk occasionally to see if I’m missing anything important in Winnipeg while this community slowly builds momentum. I’m very much hoping that we can get going here enough that I lose the FOMO about reddit.

    Hello.

I check in here a few times a day.

Sadly, this is the most active thread in the last week on this forum (sub-lemmy?)

Hopefully it picks up. It’s hard to tell at this point if Lemmy/kbin are fads experiencing a bubble or if they will continue to grow.
