Anyone ever had their accommodations “renovicted” or been left idle for a year so the rapacious land owner could jack the rent up? I have and it fucking sucks.

Oh no, they want to buy the tenant out of a legal contract and the tenant asks for more than the landlord wants to pay! A purely voluntary agreement doesn’t have terms they like!
These fuckers love a contract when they can unilaterally dictate terms but let the other party have bargaining power, or the right to say “no,” and now it’s unfair. Fuck them.
