There was Back 4 Blood. But it didn’t feel the same. Probably played it for less than eight hours at this point.

I liked it tbh. Cool weapons and some QoL improvements. The levels could be better though.

        What did you dislike?

I didn’t even realize that was the same IP- it doesn’t have the same feel at all. L4D2 was just so good.

Because no publisher will fund a game like L4D2 ever again, everything needs to be about matchmaking, can’t have a server browser, can’t let players open their own servers since we have to sell a battlepass you know?

Because it’s not. It was just made by people who used to work at Valve.

They thing is, they don’t need that, which is why we can get spoon fed 1/2 games per decade. Valve is about steam now, games are just a mean to an end

They had the opportunity to have Counter Strike 3… But nah let’s do global offensive and then switch to counter strike 2.

I also like to joke and laugh at the meme of Valve can’t do the number 3. But, honestly, I’d rather they worked on something new, creative and innovative. Counter Strike 2 is alright, but it’s the exact same game and formula from 20 years ago. It makes for more fun and compelling games when you can tell the devs are having fun coming up with something they are exited about making.

Not at all, they have a story to finish, imagine watching Lord of the Rings the Two Towers and stopping there.

Something like CS2 is different though, because it’s a standard. People like it that way, they’re used to playing it and they just want it modernized.

That’s why we have AoE2, AoE2:HD and AoE2:Definitive, and also why after hundreds of years nobody decided to come up with Soccer 2: The Soccering. But we do make soccer balls out of polymers instead of animal bladders now.

Everyone likes new compelling ideas but also there’s a space to continue support for older and popular ones.

I just want them to continue the story of Half life. Devs have left over Valve not being interested in making game anymore.

Y’all are constantly complaining about all the sequels and lack of original IP’s, while going on about sequels you want

Half-Life 2 ended on a massive cliffhanger. It’s like ending Lord of the Rings right after the uruk-hai enters Helms Deep, of course people would be annoyed and ask where the rest of the story is.

Sadly I used to want hl3, for that same reason. Now I don’t care anymore, over moved on. It’s like the last book of game of thrones, who cares anymore 20 years later?

Tried out Half-Life Black Mesa last year, which got me back into the story/universe. One of the best games I’ve played the last few years. What I wouldn’t do for HL3…

“Battlefield XX: Pride and accomplishment” is quite different to Portal 3. You can want more than one thing and not want things too.

I agree. Make new stuff. Sequels are stupid. If a sequel doesn’t suck, it would have been even better if it hadn’t been a sequel
