Looking at stats alone, DeBrincat is likely to get around a similar contract as Larkin around $8.5 million. Is he worth the huge contract for the Red Wings?

    Yes he’s worth it. I’d be ok with an 8x$9, but that’s probably too extreme for Yzerman. I could see him sticking to lower (8+) numbers for a 5+ year contract.

      Even 8X5 was too extreme for Yzerman! I’m really hoping that this trade works out in the long run, it’s been too long since we had a legit 40 goal scorer!
