I haven’t had much luck with Soulseek, I prefer downloading from Deezer or Qobuz with the method described in the Firehawk52 guide. And they even let you download FLACs.
I get plenty of FLAC from there. I have issues downloading anything older than a year or two on torrent sites. But YMMV, and I think it depends somewhat on what type of music you listen to.
