I love how his specs were so outrageous back then but are just becoming normal now
- flat screen monitor 40 inches wide - you can easily get one now
- every file inspected, no viruses detected - EDR is a thing now which is constantly watching for malicious activity
- it does all my work without me even asking - automation is definitely a thing now
- got me a T1 line at my house - we’re well beyond 1.5Mbit to the home now lol
What chip you got in there? A dorrito?
I bet this guy is trying to wax his modem
lol you WISH you had “a hundred gigabytes of RAM”
I got a couple of those on order. Always nice to have a few high mem nodes in the compute cluster.
That’s the one that stood out to me the most. Those are available now, but only in a four stick configuration.
Some servers do already. And not just business class either, I know of a few Plex servers that are running on 256 GB RAM disks
Nine to five, chillin’ at Hewlett Packard?
Defraggin’ my hard drive for thrills
You think your commodore 64 is pretty neato,
What kind of chip you got in there, a Dorito?
You’re using a 286? Don’t make me laugh. Your Windows boots up in what, a day and a half?
You could backup your whole hard drive on a floppy diskette. You’re the biggest joke on the internet.
Your database is a disaster.
…but it is neato…with a 6502…😟
“If I ever meet you I’ll control-alt-delete you.”
“You’re just about as useless as jpegs to Helen Keller”
oh my…
WHAT?
In case you don’t know who Weird Al is, he was/is famous for making parodies of well known songs. This one is based on “It’s all about Benjamins”: https://youtu.be/0c58ppLPJcQ
“Amish Paradise” is great: https://youtu.be/lOfZLb33uCg
Or “Smells like Nirvana”: https://youtu.be/FklUAoZ6KxY
Here’s an interview with him, talking about his most iconic tracks: https://youtu.be/ETyCK9mqhDI
Thanks, l’ll take an Al rabbit hole any day. I’m well aware; had “The Compleat Al” on betamax.
I was simply quoting the last line of this lovely artistry.
"What?! "
I remember downloading this onto a Zip disk at school because I only had dialup at home and wanted to watch it over and over!
That frame just made me realize how much he looks like kirk hammet lol
