Wow that’s pretty awful. I looked at the Fediseer listing for them and it turns out they’ve also been censured for lolicon and pedophillia. So yeah they’re pretty nasty. Good job keeping our communities safe from assholes like that.

What reason? I understand that there are moderation problems there but as it stands they’re not super bad and can typically be handled by banning the users and communities from our instances. Defederation would be if there is a persistent cultural problem there (such as an instance with a dominating toxic atmosphere) or a large volume of spam users and communities, which so far doesn’t seem to be a huge issue, at least not enough to warrant defederation.

So they’re basically making false/unmerited claims about something quite serious as a joke? Good to know. I suspected as much but I wanted to be sure before reporting them.

I do suspect it shows up in the All feed when I make these posts, not sure of a way to prevent that though XD
I’m not sure about that, I frequently scroll through the all tab and I don’t usually find ones from the anything but the more public of communities, I almost never see ones from instance mains, instance metas, or other admin communities. Generally from my experience you have to be looking for them because they’ll always be buried by more popular posts.
