    There’s only like, 100 people in Iceland and they’re all related to each other so it’s not very difficult to find the bikes.

    Reykjavík, which has a population of 139,875 people.

    In the last three years there has been a steady reduction in bike theft in the city, according to police statistics, falling from 569 in 2021 to 508 the following year and 404 in the first 11 months of 2023.

    For a city that small, where not everyone is even cycling, that’s a hell of a lot of stollen bikes.
