Hey everyone with the steam sale going on I was looking for some recommendations for games for five people.
Thanks!
Lethal company is an obvious choice. I think you need a mod to play with 5 people though.
Very easy to mod it thankfully
deep rock galactic along with that, also needs a mod for more than 4 players but it’s trivial to get and works well from what i’ve heard
There’s a mod for five?!?
Sure is, the mod is on nexusmods I think and it’s called more company. Since everyone needs to install it, I suggest also looking into other mods like alternate outfits and such
BattleBit if you liked Battlefield
God I just fucking love getting one tapped by a sniper with 600 hours from 1400m out.
spoiler
I still like the game, but it definitely can be frustrating sometimes

I usually play sniper and I think the recent update really nerfed the sniper class. I’m now starting to learn a different class…
My exact experience, and I have hundreds of hours in various battlefields
Well, I’m not sure this is what you’re looking for but Tabletop Simulator is a board game simulator that has a diverse category of games in its workshop mod. I’m sure a lot of the games can be played with 5 players.
I came here to say exactly this. My favorite games for 5+ players are Codenames and Sushi Go Party Edition.
Of those on sale-
Terraria
Killing Floor (And 2)
Torchlight 2
Raft
Human Fall Flat
Powerwash Simulator
Torchlight 2 may have been around for a while now, but it’s still a great game.
In order of casual friendly at top, to real gaming hours at bottom IMO
Sea of Thieves
Valheim
Project Zomboid
Factorio
Sea of thieves is great but only 4 - good backup.
May I suggest barotrauma if you can work together.
Ultimate Chicken Horse
Great game but sadly has a max of 4 players

Friends from college mostly.
Terraria (I recommend the Thorium mod that add healer and support classes!)
7 Days to die
Talisman Digital Edition
Tower Unite this is the game my friends and spend the most time in casually, it has so many mini games and it’s just weird too.
Don’t Starve Together
Fun but also ruthless. Even with YouTube videos I can never seem to get the hang of it.
I’ve never watched the videos. I read the wiki, but otherwise just wing it. Can’t say I’m great at it but I have a lot of fun.
Core Keeper if you want to craft and chill, with some intense combat too sometimes
Stardew Valley I think is up to 5 (the host and 4?), if not then Sunhaven I’m fairly certain it’s up to 8, if y’all like farming sim things.
