Calling something “App for Whatever” isn’t a Reddit exclusive. It accurately describes what the program is and what it’s for. This is fairly common. Just sayin.
It shouldnt be the name of the program though, that’s advertising stuff.

Completely agree. I understand the tag is there to make it easier for people to find the apps on the stores but it really looks out of place once the app is installed. I appreciate that Liftoff is just called that, not “liftoff for Lemmy”.

On lemmy.world it’s known as “Lemmy Connect Dammit”. That’s what I’ve heard.
Then we’d have to have Liftoff to Lemmy, Thunder to Lemmy etc., etc. It’s just a big can of worms.
