Where does one even find black market zebras?

Well, given that Saskatchewan has the same huge amount of Nothing in it as the other provinces, all full of nice grassy plains, if I did have some black-market zebras, “a farm in Saskatchewan’s back country” would be high on my list of places to stash them. At a distance, they’re probably not all that easy to tell from horses, and who’s going to spend half an hour or more driving along grid roads just to get a closer look?

In an emailed statement, the City of Saskatoon said the zebras “are in foster care here after they were seized by conservation officers as part of an investigation under the Captive Wildlife Regulations.”

Wtf. This is wild. Glad they’re able to find a home there. Very nice to see it spur further accreditation.

Zoos and their patrons abuse animals. They claim to be performing conservation and research, but those functions are actually filled by sanctuaries and preserves. Zoos exist to exploit and abuse animals for profit.
