My findings so far (purely on fun or not and not about DPS, in open world pve):
-
pistol/torch harbinger - feels great and natural
-
gs harbinger - feels ok, not adding much to the play style
-
hammer fresh air tempest - ok to meh, tbh still feels like two different things on one, but it’s better than dealing with spheres
-
sword/horn tempest/weaver - fun! Very mobile and many options for different situations
-
rifle and scepter daredevil - meh and probably bad, rifle without malice doesn’t work for me at all, scepter does not do anything great by itself
-
staff deadeye - fun with perma quickness but probably not good at the end of the day
What do you think? But all in all I am happy for revs to finally get rid of hammers.
Hammer holo looks pretty sweet.
Ohh I need to try this. More bonk more happiness!
Torch as a replacement for warhorn feels awesome. More cc, damage and might. Very nice.
Mace will almost certainly become meta for quickheal scrapper
- Go to PvP with a Waver + Hammer.
- Weave to Air/Earth
- Get near someone who has clearly run out of condition removal, use 5 and 2. Fun times.
Haven’t messed with too much, but pistol/torch harb for sure. Hammer holo is almost great but lacks heat accumulation (really hope that gets added, it’s fun otherwise). Condi scrapper with mace/pistol might actually be worthwhile for the first time ever, too.
I think hammer holo as is might be a good chance to explore options with blasting module. Had my fun with holo trait 123 justing jumping in and exploding. But it will be nice if they add the heat system to other weapons, including pistol and mace, too.
Surprised no one has mentioned revenant yet. GS is fantastic, and SB is both a ranged condition weapon and- sadly - better than hammer even for power. Herald is a big winner here, ren/vin less so but still solid. I’d say it’s between this and ele for the biggest benefit.
Agreed. Having anything other than hammer for range is welcomed for rev. SB also works in melee for condition builds.
So far I’ve enjoyed necro and engi possibilities. Hope to see more fun stuff to come.
