Toyota has been promising solid state tech “within 5 years” for the past 15 years. Whereas Chinese companies like CATL and BYD basically make an announcement and then ship products within a year.

At this point China is more reputable than Toyota when it comes to battery technology.
Toyota has been promising solid state tech “within 5 years” for the past 15 years.
