Don’t forget the clues, friends! The first clue I provided was that this song wasn’t released in the 90s and then got several guesses afterward that were all songs from the 90s.       A really great guess but unfortunately not the right song. Here’s a hint, though I’m not sure anyone will see it since I seem to be the only one posting here that still gets downvoted into the negatives half the time just for playing: your song was released in 1998, my song released in a different decade.
